Aubrey is 9 Months Old!

We are glad to report things are going well and Aubrey is developing right on track! We have had alot of excitement and travel the last month and we are ready for things to settle down. Mommy and Daddy took a weekend and went to New Orleans for Jazzfest while Grandma and Grandpa Surette came and stayed the weekend with Aubrey. Aubrey got nice and spoiled and I think Grandma and Grandpa had a wonderful time taking care of her! That was the first time for Jamie and I to go away since Aubrey was born and it was a wonderful time, we needed that!

We just got home yesterday from our first big trip to Ohio. We flew up, so that was Aubrey's first plane ride. She did great and slept on the way up but not so much on the way back down. We found out when we got up there that she had an ear infection so that made flying home a bit uncomfortable for her we think. But the visit was nice we got to see Nana and Papa and Aubrey got tons of lovin'! We had a picnic and tons of friends and family came by to meet Miss Aubrey. She did really good with all the strangers and was really quite a flirt!

While we were in Ohio we had to take Aubrey to the doctor for her ears and she weighs 19.5 lbs! She is such a big girl now. She still is not crawling, but it is coming REALLY soon! She has learned how to get to a sitting position from laying down and we have found her sitting in her crib a couple of times! She is trying to pull up on everything, she loves to stand up! While we were in Ohio we borrowed an old walker with wheels and she loved being able to cruise around! We are still working on the Ma-ma thing....still just Da-da-da! But she loves to sing and is very vocal!

Yesterday was my first Mother's Day and it was a very special day for me. Aubrey and her Daddy got Mommy some really great perfume and a necklace! I am so thankful to have such a beautiful and happy little girl and caring husband! I am truly blessed. I thought about how I will look forward to those homemade cards and things made out of Popsicle sticks in the very near future! I can't wait!
