Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas to everyone! Just wanted to give a quick update....Miss Aubrey is doing great! She is doing something new everyday! She is really talking alot and she just rolled over for the first time the other day! At first, it took her a while to get over after lots of work....just two days later she can flip right over from her back to her front! She hasn't quite got the hang of front to back and she gets a little frustrated when she can't get back over, but she's learning! She is sleeping through the night most of the time, but here lately has started waking up and playing in her bed at 1 am! She just sings to her mobile and talks for a while then either she has to eat or she goes back to sleep! Either way Jamie and I get to wake up and hear her singing! hahahaha

Aubrey is getting over her first good cold and ear infection. Let me tell you how she hates the bulb suction! When we went to the doctor she weighed right at 15lbs! She seems to be getting taller now. Her hair is steadily falling out and her peach fuzz looks like a very dark red...we will see! We are moving daycares next month and are excited to be at a new one. We had a little misshap at the other one, a toddler decided to give Aubrey a love nip on the nose....so we are moving on...

We had a nice visit yesterday with Aubrey's Aunt Lissa, Uncle Chris and MiMi! We took a road trip over to Gulfport for the day to see Beetle and her family. Aubrey does really well traveling, she just falls right off to sleep!

Nana and Papa are coming in a couple of days for Christmas and we are excited they will be here. I am sure between them and my mom and dad Aubrey will get quite spoiled this year! I have to work, but that is okay with me...I would rather work now when she doesn't know the difference! She will get to spend her first Christmas day with her Daddy!

Aubrey is 4 Months old!

Well hello everyone! I can't believe it, we just went for our 4 month check up this morning! Aubrey is growing like a weed. She weighs 14 lbs. 15 ounces and is 25 1/4 inches long! She is in the 80th percentile for weight and 83rd percentile for height! I think we must be giving her some kind of jet fuel instead of formula!

She is doing great and talking up a storm. We just put her exersaucer together yesterday (you need an engineering degree to do it!) and she loves it! She loves her tummy time and is trying so hard to scoot with those little ham hocks! Don't let all her curls fool you, she looks like she has male pattern baldness in the back! But she is getting some peach fuzz to fill it in....I just hope it comes in red!

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Our neighbors were so awesome and fried a delicious turkey for us. My mom came for a week and got to spoil Aubrey alot! Aubrey wasn't quite sure what to make of the turkey. hahahaha

We started Daycare last week. It was tough, more on Mommy than Aubrey! She is really doing well, she wasn't napping or eating well at first, but is doing fine now. We have noticed she is talking alot more and loves to squeal so I think being around the other babies has been great for her! I start back to work next Tuesday and am looking forward to some adult conversation! I know I will miss Aubrey, but it will be good for us, both.

Aubrey Update

Hey Everyone! Just wanted to give a quick update and pics....things are good, Aubrey is doing great! She had a little cold and stuffy nose, but got over it pretty quickly. When we took her to the doctor she weighed 14 lbs 4 oz.! She is wearing 3-6 month clothes and boy does she have a closet full! We had a good visit with her Aunt Meg over the weekend. She was an angel and took the monitor one night for Mommy & Daddy to get a good night's sleep! Thanks Meg! We had a nice date night last Thursday with the Frailies and their twin girls! We went to the lighting of the trees in Fairhope. Aubrey was amazed at all the lights and is quite the people watcher! We have been trying to get out and walk everyday....my jogger stroller is AWESOME! Thanks to my NNP friends and Karen for that! I have included a great pic below!

Well, we ended up throwing out the books on schedules! (I know you can't believe my Type A self finally did that!) She is just falling into her own routine and doing pretty good with it! She is a much happier baby when she goes down for a nap and in turn we are, too! She is definitely addicted to her binky....whatever works! hahahahaha

She is very close to being able to roll over and can sit up really well with a little help!

We will be starting daycare in a week....I thought I wouldn't have a problem with it...but we went the other day to sign the paperwork and it made me soooo sad! But, I will have 2 weeks to get used to it before I go back to work so I won't be completely worthless when I go back! And it will be nice for me to get some "me time" in!

Grandma Surette is here this week for the holiday so Aubrey will get some good spoiling!!! Yeah! I hope everyone has a safe and blessed Thanksgiving! More later.....

I just can't believe how fast the time is flying! She is 3 months old today! She is talking up a storm and is such a happy baby....of course she has her moments, but don't we all! She is sleeping through the night most of the time and I am not sure how much she weighs....but she is almost in a size 2 diaper! My little chunky monkey! She is such a curious little girl, she notices everything around her and just doesn't miss a thing! We are having her 3 month pictures done on Saturday so I will post more later! Hope all is well!

Happy Halloween!

Things are going great and Aubrey is growing like a weed! I think she is getting close to a belly laugh! We just had a wonderful visit with her Aunt Beetle! She gave Aubrey a beautifu 100 good wishes quilt that I am going to hang on her wall. The idea of the quilt comes from China and is said to contain the energy, good fortune and good wishes fo the person who gave the quilt. Beetle and I got to have a Girl's Day to go shopping while Daddy kept Aubrey and he did an AWESOME job! They had a great day together!

Halloween was a blast! We had a great time dressing Aubrey up as a pumpkin! I still have a little while left on maternity leave...am trying to get myself pysched for daycare....I know she will do fine. She is very social, like her Mommy! Hope everyone is doing well! More later....

Aubrey Update

Hey everyone! Just wanted to give a quick update and a few new pics and video...

Things are going well. We just went on our first road trip to Panama City to see Dianne's parents. Aubrey did great! We kept her on the go a good bit and coming home has been a bit tough trying to get back on her schedule....but we will make it! While we were in PC her Grandma was able to give her a bottle several times without a fuss! We are working on it here, Jamie has gotten her to take several bottles! Thank God!.....will just take some time and patience. I was able to go visit with our friend Tony McKenzie and Aubrey got to meet him. I got to meet his daughter Gabriella and she is BEAUTIFUL!

Aubrey is growing so fast and changing everyday! It seems she is doing something new everyday! She is finding her hands now and trying to get them to her mouth constantly! Poor thing she pokes herself in the eye all the time because she's just not coordinated enough yet. She loves being on her tummy and is getting really good at holding her little head up! She loves going outside for walks and being in the fresh air, the weather had been perfect for that lately! We went out this afternoon and watched the rain and she loved it!

Aubrey is 2 months old

Happy Fall to everyone! We are lovin' the weather! We can't believe it but Aubrey is 2 months old! We had our 2 month check up this morning and she weighed 11 lbs. 13 oz. and is now 22.5 inches long! She gained nearly 3 lbs and 1.5 inches in one month! She is out of her newborn diapers and in size 1 now, but I don't think for too much longer! She got her 2 month vaccinations today.....it sucked! It broke my heart! I cried! She did well, she was over it in about a minute, but oh I hated it! We don't go back now until she is 4 months old.

We just had a great visit with Jamie's parents. Their first time to meet Aubrey! And they are WRAPPED!!!! Aubrey enjoyed them so much she thought they were funny! They got her to smile sooo much! She got lots of hugs and lovin' and many rocks to sleep in the chair by her Nanna, which they both enjoyed! While they were here we were able to have Aubrey Baptized. We did it in the church we were married in and the priest who married us performed the ceremony. We asked Pat and Dee Reilly to be the God Parents. Thanks guys that means so much to us! The ceremony was beautiful.

Aubrey's Nanna, Aunt Stacy and Aunt Gina had a shower for her before she came for a visit and Aubrey made out like a bandit! Her closet is busting at the seems! All the stuff is soooo cute! She won't ever get to wear it all there is so much! Thank you soooooo much! She will be a well dressed baby.

She is developing so much. She is very vocal! She is smiling all the time and LOVES the mirror! She loves bath time and is doing pretty good with the schedule we have started.....just takes time and practice. She is very strong and getting pretty good at holding her head up. The only thing going on now is that she won't take a bottle anymore. Uh-oh! We will be working hard on that!
