Aubrey Update

Hello! Just a quick update....Things are going well. Aubrey is growing and changing so quickly I just can't believe it! She is staying awake longer now and loves to play and is starting to "talk" some! She is starting to smile back at you when you smile at her, too! She loves the bath and playing in the water! We have had some colic, nothing consistent....some nights are good, some are not so good....we had to go for a car ride the other night to get her to sleep....then the next night not a whimper! She's really an easy baby and we are blessed! Jamie's parents are headed down from Ohio soon to meet her and they are very excited! I am sure we will have lots of pics to share!

Uncle Lee came for a visit to meet Aubrey and he ate her up! I have included pics below....

Aubrey Update

Hello Everyone! Things here are going well! Aubrey is growing and changing already! I think she has figured out that she has a voice now....she likes to make lots of noises! She is getting into a pretty good routine it seems...we'll see if it sticks. She is sleeping longer at night between feeds, which is very nice for Mommy! She likes her little jungle gym monkey we got her, it keeps her busy and gets her nice and sleepy before bedtime!

I am truly enjoying being a Mommy! She is such a joy! Jamie is such a great Daddy! He is getting home earlier now so he gets to spend a little time in the evenings with her which is great for both of them!

One of the ladies I work with does photography on the side and came to do some pics of Aubrey a couple of days ago. I have included one of the photos that she sent me this morning as a preview...I love it!

Aubrey is One Month Old!

Hey Everyone! I can't believe it, Aubrey is a month old today! We went to the doctor for her check up and she weighs 8 pounds & 11 ounces! She gained 1 pound & 10 ounces in 2 weeks! She is 21 inches long, already grown an inch! She is right on track, exactly where she needs to be! I can't believe how much she is changing just looking back at pictures over the last 4 weeks! She had to get a shot today, I think it hurt me worse than it hurt her!

I had a check up with the doctor yesterday and things are going okay for me. I had to change Aubrey while we were in the exam room and she pooped all over the table! How embarrassing! hahahaha Dr. Max just laughed and helped me clean it up! What a guy!

We have gotten into a pretty good routine for getting up and out of the house in a reasonable amount of time! I am truly enjoying being a Mommy, now! She is such a joy! Jamie loves coming home to see her and cuddle with her in the evenings! He's a great Daddy! Here are the latest pics.....

Aubrey Update

Hi Everyone! I know it has been a while, but we have been busy trying to settle in to some sort of routine. My mom was here for a couple of weeks, which was a HUGE help! Thanks Mom! And now we are flying solo....I know we will be fine. I have struggled with some post partum blues and feel like that is starting to lift a bit, thank God! I finally got through all my emails today, there were 700! Forgive me for not responding to all the Congrats etc....we do appreciate all the good wishes and support! We head back to the doctor on Thursday for our 1 month check up! I can't believe it! She is already changing! Her eyes seem to be getting lighter and my dad swears her hair is getting lighter, too. I don't see that, but I see her all day long! She is really a good baby! She is sooo alert, kinda nosy! The dogs are doing really well with her, Abbey has become very motherly and protective with her! It's so sweet!
