2 Year Update!

We just celebrated Aubrey's 2nd Birthday and wanted to update everyone on how she is doing. It's been such a long time since I posted....our computer crashed and once it was up and running life just got away from me!

Aubrey is doing great and had a wonderful birthday! The spring and summer months have been filled with time at the park, the pool and the fountain to beat the heat! She is growing like a weed and weighs 27 lbs. now! She is talking up a storm and you REALLY have to be careful what you say around her because she is like a little parrot!

She is doing really well in daycare and is just about to move up to the 2 year old class. She plays really well with the other kids and actually does well with sharing! We just introduced her to the big girl potty....which she went on for the first time, no prob, but now...not so much! So we will keep working on it!

She just got her hair cut for the first time....not too much off, as we love her long curls! Mr. Bobby, the hairdresser, painted her toenails for the first time, which she LOVED! Such a girly-girl!

She has lots of funny sayings....she calls the couch the 'chouch', Nana is 'Hannah', and my dad is 'Pancraw'...I think she is just getting it a bit backwards!

We are still dealing with her egg allergy. She actually had a reaction to the icing on her birthday cake at her party. We are headed to the allergist this week for a check up. We are just praying she grows out of it soon!

Well, we hope this finds everyone happy and well! More to come later......

18 Month Update

WooHoo! We made it to the 1 1/2 year mark! We are amazed everyday at the changes in little Miss Aubrey. She is now 25 lbs! She is starting to lose some of those sweet little rolls she had as a baby as she is on the move constantly! She is talking up a storm and loves to call the dogs! She says "C'mon Abbey" and slaps her leg to get Abbey's attention, hilarious! It's like her language skills have exploded in the last 3 weeks!

We had a great visit with her Nana & Papa. While they were here we took her to the Bass Pro Shop to see the fish, we took her to the Fairhope Pier to see the water and we had a play date with Liam and Allison at the Exploreum. Busy...Busy...! She is trying to say Nana and is pretty good at saying "Pop"! We took her to her first Mardi Gras Parade this last weekend in Fairhope. It was the little dog parade...the Mystic Mutts of Revelry...she loved seeing all the dogs, or as she calls them "Gaws"...a little backwards, but she's getting there.

We are headed this week for her 18 month check up and shots, Ugh! But I am excited to see how much she has grown in the last few months! Hope everyone is well, more next month!

17 Month Update

A quick update....things are wonderful. We had a fun filled Christmas this year and Aubrey got sooooo much stuff that I think she was a bit overwhelmed! Grandpa and Grandma Surette came and spent Christmas with us, so Aubrey got good and spoiled. Her favorite things are her wagon, magnadoodle and flashcards.

She is changing so quickly and learning things so fast! She is saying shoe and ball pretty clearly and jabbers nonstop. She loves the movie 'Nemo' and can't quite say that so she calls Nemo - 'Bo' and points at the TV whens she wants to watch it! She is trying to run now, which is sooo funny to watch! She is quite a cautious and dainty girl and it has been really neat watching her develop into this little person!

We just got back from a trip to the New Orleans Aquarium and she really loved the sea life. She would point and say 'Bo'! Thanks to Aunt Karen and Uncle Matt for letting us stay!

Her Nana and Papa are coming this weekend for a week and we are looking forward to their visit!

Hope everyone is doing well! We love you!
